HiPakistan Movies

By: Sajjad Haider

HiPakistan is probably the largest internet movie download site on the internet toady. Almost all of the internet movie downloads sites utilizes DRM (digital rights management) on movie files downloaded from their websites. DRM helps to ensure copyright protection and prevents piracy. That means you cannot make a copy of the movie file and pass it to your friends and family.

With the availability of high speed broadband everywhere, there are nowadays many internet movie downloads sites on the internet. The latest to join in the internet movie download site is Apple with its itunes movie store. You can easily download a movie and watch it on your ipod, pc or mac.

Movies have gained popularity worldwide and have become a mega business. Hollywood - the hub of the US film industry - has churned out some of the most memorable movies of all time and is still producing films that catch the imagination of a global community. A movie can be viewed in a traditional theater, on television or by renting a DVD.

However, there are certain factors to consider before downloading a movie from the internet. With the rampant wide spread of spywares and viruses, it pays to choose a reputable movie download provider which ensures that the movies are of highest quality. It's also important to ensure that the movie provider have 100% legitimate material so that you will not get into trouble with the law. While On HiPakistan you can easily download and watch your favorite movies. There are no viruses, pop up and other things which make your computer very slow. HiPakistan is free from viruses and well authorized website.

There are several internet websites that offer pay per view services which mean that you have to pay a small fee like $2 to download a movie. In my opinion, you should avoid such sites because they are making a lot of money from you. Just imagine if a movie cost you $2, and if you download 100 movies in a year, you will need to spend $200! Fortunately, if you find hard enough, there are some sites that requires a small fee but you can download all the movies including the latest iron man full length movie for life, without paying any more money to the movie provider. While HiPakistan is offering totally free movies. You can download or watch your favorite movies without any penny.

Another important factor is the download speed of the movies. I believe you will never want to spend days and nights just to download one of your favorite movie. I know that is very frustrating and trust me that you will never like to experience that. But do not worry, there are still some quality movie providers that offers amazingly few hundred times faster download speed than most of those mediocre download sites out there.

Battlestar Galactica: a metaphor of post 9/11 World

By: John Brown

Over many years, the story of struggle of human beings against their own creation: Cylons, as told in the Starship series, has evolved into much more than a battle between species. Rather than describing apocalyptical war between man and machine, it deliberates over emotional landscape of those perpetually living under the shadow of death which, I am afraid, not many sci-fi do. Beside the ongoing fight to save humanity from its nemesis, Galactica fearlessly addresses the most fundamental issues like gender equity, religion, and what it means to be a human being or not to be one.

The series kick start with the annihilation of the earth with only 12 space colonies left. The Cylons which were made by man to serve mankind evolve into intelligent beings refusing to serve them anymore. It results in a fierce battle followed by a detente of 39 years. Cylons withdraw to a distant area of space only to return on 40th anniversary. They have evolved beyond the wildest imagination of man. Androids, as they are now called, look like human beings but cannot be killed. Rather they regenerate. They ruthlessly kill millions of people who are caught unaware. Less than 40,000 manage to flee in the spaceships with Androids in pursuit, looking for the legendary 13th colony called Earth.

At this point, the series could have degenerated into a violent video game with computer generated images and innumerable fight scenes of senseless killing. But instead, it rose to touch even those who are not at all attracted to sci-fi by its sensitive narration of stories of human interest. The Starship was called a sci-fi allegory of war on terror, complete with religious fundamentalists, sleeper cells, civil liberties crackdowns and even a prisoner torture scandal by Time Magazine. There are suicide bombers, Androids who want to destroy starship just as we have fanatic Al Qaeda suicide bombers who don’t think twice before blowing themselves to pieces in order to kill those, who they consider their enemies. The larger question is that whether such people who relegate their rights of making choices and decisions to others by following them blindly are in any way better than robots.

The issues of trust and betrayal, love and deception overlap in most episodes of the series. At one point Olympic Carrier a commercial passenger vessel goes missing with 1345 people abroad and Battlestar Galactica assumes that it has been lost to Cylons. But to everyone’s surprise, Olympic Carrier rejoins the fleet after 3 hours. Captain Adama’s suspicion about the sudden appearance of the vessel is further fueled by Dr. Baltar who also suggests to the President Roslin that ship may have been infiltrated with Cylon agents.

Galactica’s radiological sensors detect nuclear weapons abroad Olympic Carrier and even after the repeated orders not to approach the fleet it refuses to comply, leaving no other option for President Roslin but to destroy it. This whole incident, strangely, reminds me of the attack on twin towers by Al Qaeda using civilian airplanes carrying passengers. Religious bigotry is another issue which has come to relate very closely with terrorism in post 9/11 world. Al Qaeda incites people to kill in the name of religion. Each terrorist believes that he is serving God by killing infidels. Each mission that he successfully accomplishes is a sign that God is with him. After Olympic Carrier is destroyed, Number Six declares that God is looking after the interests of Baltar, as he allowed the destruction of Olympic.

Movie Review: "The Butterfly Effect"

By: Swapnil Warang

My Thoughts on Movie : "The Butterfly Effect (2004)"

Technically the "Butterfly Effect", means the "sensitive dependence on initial conditions". And whole movie revolve around this theory. Directors: Eric Bress, J. Mackye Grubers Cast: Ashton Kutcher, Amy Smart and other brilliant actors sorry I couldn’t name them all.

Even before starting to comment on film, guys this is one of the most watch movies and not only to watch but also for archiving it’s DVD. Its thrilling experience to watch this movie. Well written, well directed, brilliantly acted film. Film always keeps you guessing what’s next, keeps you interested all the time. So bravo for cast and crew, director, producer, technicians everyone. This is a story of a boy growing up in a small town with his single working mom and his friends. He suffers from memory blackouts and more importantly something bad always seems to happen during these blackouts. He has habit of writing all these incidents down as much as he can remember. As he grows up it gets lesser until he seems to have recovered. One day at college he starts to read one of his old diaries, and suddenly a flashback hits him and he can recollect what happened in one of those blackouts. Not only that he also finds the way change the things all over again and fix things again. But how much hw tries to fix the things situation always worsen. And he finds himself in big mess and in Asylum where his father used to be for same reasons.

Every frame of this film is so thought of, its amazingly brilliant story, brilliant editing and it has perfect pace to keep drama going. All the actors gets opportunity to play so many different shades in single roles and they does it so effortlessly not only by appearance, facial expression, accent but also with body language. This movie has little bit of everything drama, romance, comedy, psychedelic fantasy, science fiction.

In the end you might feel that it is just imagination, a fantasy but the theory stays with you successfully. Like when I thinks today I am an engineer but in my teens if I had decide to be a Doctor or a Banker or anyone else for each condition my life would have been so much different. My friends, my workplace, even the way I think now, would have been so much different that I won’t have recognize myself. What do you think? As for rating I’ll give 10/10 points.

Don’t forget to watch it. I heard there is sequel to this I can’t wait to watch it.

Why The Western Won’t Die

By: Dan Lynch

There’s something about the western. For a long time it was one of the most popular genres on the landscape of entertainment in America. From the 1930s through the 1970s millions of Americans flocked to movie theaters each year to see stars like John Wayne, Robert Mitchum and Clint Eastwood face down the bad guys. Louis L’Amour, the most prolific author of western novels in history (and my personal favorite) has sold 225 million books. The western dominated television in America in the 1950s and 1960s, with approximately 120 television series produced. The record for the longest running prime time television show (1955 – 1975) is still held by Gunsmoke, a western starring James Arness as U.S. Marshal Matt Dillon. That record may soon fall, however, as several shows including, believe it or not, The Simpsons, are poised to equal or surpass that record. I guess nothing more starkly illustrates the changes in our society in the last few decades than the mind boggling fact that Homer Simpson may soon accomplish what scores of evil desperados couldn’t do over two decades – take down Matt Dillon.

The heyday of the western has come and gone but the western has not ridden off into the sunset. It is an indisputable fact that since the 1980s fewer films and television shows produced have
been westerns. Yet every so often some brave soul in Hollywood takes a chance and turns one out. Like a monster in an old grade B movie the western refuses to die.

Though few and far between, the television western has not been buried on Boot Hill yet.
• In 1988 CBS gave us Paradise, a prime time television series starring Lee Horsley as Ethan Cord, a gunfighter who takes on raising his sister’s four young children after her death. It was an excellent show and was more family oriented than a shoot ‘em up but managed to work in plenty of action due to the circumstances of Cord’s past. It ran for almost 3 seasons.
• In 1989 CBS scored big with the made for television miniseries Lonesome Dove, which was based on the Pulitzer Prize winning novel by Larry McMurtry that spent 20 weeks on the New York Times bestsellers list. It is the story of retired Texas Rangers Gus McRae, portrayed by Robert Duvall and Woodrow Call, portrayed by Tommy Lee Jones undertaking the first cattle drive from Texas to Montana. Widely regarded as one of the finest miniseries ever, Lonesome Dove was not only critically acclaimed; it was a huge ratings success. Over the four nights it ran it scored a ratings average of 26.1 with a 39% share of the audience. It also won 7 Emmy awards, 1 Peabody award, and 2 Golden Globe Awards. Lauded for its gritty realism, Lonesome Dove proved that we still like a good western and if Hollywood turns one out we will watch it in big numbers. Apparently even actors are not immune to the captivating spell of a good western. Robert Duvall commented that of all the roles he has played (and that’s a considerable number considering he’s been acting since the early 1960s) his favorite was that of Gus McRae.
• In 1998 CBS took a chance again by airing the prime time television show The Magnificent Seven, based on the classic 1960 film with the same title starring Yul Brynner and Steve McQueen. As a huge fan of the original movie I must admit I watched the pilot episode of the show prepared to condemn it as a cheap rip off and an insult to the fine film it was based on. I could not have been more wrong. It was not only a great show but the clever tweaking of the characters paid homage to the original. The show starred Michael Biehn as Chris in the Yul Brynner role and Eric Close as Vin in the Steve McQueen role. Unfortunately, the network kept bouncing it around on the schedule as so often happens and it never managed to find an audience. It was gone in 2000 with only 22 episodes produced. It is 2008 so I guess CBS should be putting out a western television series this year if the pattern holds. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

Download Naruto Movies - How To Get Unlimited Anime Movies Like Naruto

By: Davion Wong

If you tried a simple search, you know that there are plenty of places to download Naruto movies from. And almost all of them offer many other anime movies and series as well.

But everything is not so simple. Once you start evaluating the websites, you will know that many of them are not what they claim to be. Attracted by free offers, you click one link, then the other, then one more… and come to a paid site eventually, while the website which advertised free downloads made profit from these false advertisements.

Some may actually allow you to download a Naruto movie you want for free, but be prepared for pop-up attacks and sometimes even Trojans somewhere in your computer’s guts. Simply remember: no free stuff on the Internet is really free. There is a benefit for the site behind any free offer, and unfortunately, this benefit is achieved at your cost.

However, if you want to download Naruto movies as cheap as one can get, there are some awesome choices out there. Look out for the websites that charge for membership and not for each download. The membership may be permanent or as long as the subscription lasts, i.e. monthly, bi-yearly or yearly.

What it means is that after the membership or subscription is paid for, you are given unlimited access to all anime downloads in the database – and this is a mind-blowing number! If you are an avid anime viewer, save your money and get a lifetime membership at the cost equal to two anime DVDs or so – a yearly subscription is just pennies cheaper anyway. Even a school kid can afford paying such a miserable price.

Apart from the extensive anime selection, you are guaranteed fast downloading speeds (this is very important, as video files are huge), virus-protected files and all the necessary assistance in using the website as well as problem solving. It goes without saying that Naruto movies, as well as any anime movies and videos you download, are of good digital quality and can be transferred to a disk in case you decide to.

Leave shoddy free downloads in the past. With such a wonderful option as unlimited anime downloads, you do not need to compromise on quality and your security any more.

Save your time as well – visit my blog right now and pick the best website to download Naruto movies from.

Everything You Must Know About The Promotional Techniques Of Hollywood

By: Victor Epand

A film is promoted with the aim to reach the maximum number of target audience. Film producers presently invest quite a huge amount of money in promotional techniques especially in big industry like Hollywood. They leave no stone unturned in using various kinds of promotional techniques so that the film will capture the attention of the viewers. In fact, promotion is done as an effort to recover the costs of the production of the film and to make sure that that the investors get expected profits.

Audience activity is the most important aspect of media promotion. Different theoretical models have grown because of this audience activity. There was constant work going on along with it to promote the films through different media so that it can have a wider range and mass appeal. One of the major concerns for the filmmakers and distributors is to maintain the viewers' attention.

Keeping in mind the promotional aspect, one can say that the ultimate aim of promotional technique was to arrest the audience with a larger than life experience Cinemascope, technical improvements, and wide screen projection were invented. Though all possible measures were taken to make cinema livelier, the need to reach the youth was still felt.

A considerable expense is there in marketing campaigns to maximize profits. There are both traditional and modern techniques used to serve the purpose of promoting a film. Television and radio play a major role in this promotional campaign, as they not only deal with entertainment but also business to a large extent.

The first hand knowledge about a soon-to-be-released-film goes to the audience through these entertainment media. The trailers are shown on television. One of the eye-catching techniques that Hollywood used in promoting the film Memoirs of Geisha is worth remembering. The clippings of the film were shown throughout an episode of a television show. This kind of marketing is called product placement.

Along with it, there is extended placement, where talk shows discuss the film and the participants include the members of film crew like cinematographer, choreographers who discuss the technical part of the film, and the stars and the director who talks about incidents that occurred while the film was being shot.

In the age of Internet, Hollywood uses the virtual world as one of their major promotional techniques due to its power to reach millions across the globe. There are websites showing short trailers of the film along with rushes from the film. Moreover, there are user generated content and blogs.

The paid advertisement in newspapers and magazines, one of the earliest and traditional methods of promotion techniques, forms a significant component of the campaign. There are paid co-branding and co-advertising, for instance in BMW and James Bond films. A major aspect of this marketing is promotional tours made by the actors to different places to market the film.

The year 2000 saw the film industry spending around 2 billion dollars yearly in marketing alone. In this way we can see that the film patterns have changed drastically in each era but the medium is still lively and entertaining. A lot of money is involved in promoting a film.
